FAQ #1: “What’s the best way to buy a speech app—through a monthly subscription or by paying a one-time fee?”

I think that most buyers prefer to buy apps like ours by paying a one-time fee, which is why we do it that way.

One-time fees appeal to buyers who prefer ownership and want to avoid recurring charges.

Many organizations (clinics, agencies, healthcare facilities) use APP2Speak for their clients and they often don’t have the manpower or time to keep up with monthly subscriptions. Purchasing the app with a one-time fee helps them keep administrative costs down.

App users and family members/caregivers also seem to prefer a one-time fee because then they don’t have to manage a subscription, make sure their subscription doesn’t lapse, etc.

FAQ #4: “Do I need internet access to use the app?”

Not at all!

For APP2Speak, you don’t need the internet to use the app, nor do you need it to set up the customization or text-to-speech features.

For the expensive speech generating devices, most of them require an internet connection to download the vocabulary and other functions. Once the device is set up, they don’t require the internet.

However, if they were to do an impromptu customization, they most likely would need to reconnect to the internet.
